Our e-bike day trip from Marrakech is a full-day adventure through the stunning Atlas Mountains. The journey starts at 9 a.m. with a one and a half hour drive south up the Moulay Brahim Gorges in a 4WD vehicle or mini van. Along the way, we'll pass by Asni valley, where we'll have the opportunity to visit one of the region's most famous weekly markets, open every Saturday, and see the vibrant culture of the surrounding villages.
As we continue our drive, we'll cross a lush green valley and arrive in Imlil, a charming mountain village located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. Imlil is a hub for many trekking and mountain adventures in Morocco and is known for its stunning natural scenery and traditional Berber culture.
After a brief introduction to e-biking and a safety orientation, we'll start our e-bike tour, taking in the stunning views of the mountains as we make our way through the beautiful mountain landscapes. Our first stop will be at Imi Oughlad, a small Berber village nestled in the mountains, where we'll get a taste of the traditional Berber way of life.
As we continue our ride, we'll make our way up towards the Azzaden valley, one of the most breathtakingly beautiful valleys in the Atlas Mountains. We'll stop for a delicious lunch at the Tizi n Techt pass, located at the top of the high Atlas Mountains, where we'll have a chance to take in the stunning panoramic views and catch our breath before the descent.
After lunch, we'll descend into the red valley of Azzaden, known for its distinctive red-hued landscapes, and visit an antique Amazigh village, where we'll have a chance to learn about the rich cultural history of the region. We'll then continue our ride down to Marigha, where our driver will be waiting to transfer us back to Marrakech, completing an unforgettable e-bike day tour of the Atlas Mountains.
